More on the Ottawa Fury

As you saw in my post of a few days ago, the boys of the Ottawa Fury had a great time being ball boys at White Hart Lane. What they didn’t know was what their parents were up to at the time. Not content with having a photo taken with a statue of Bobby Moore, they got photos with … well read on and find out.

Several parents went along for the trip and took in the games that the boys played. They all had a great time, thanks to Ronnie the ‘bus driver’ (he played against Michael Ballack once). Unfortunately they did not get to see the game from the stadium. A few of them went down to see what it would cost from a ‘tout’ and 150 a seat was a little steep. However, they did enjoy the first half from the Bricklayers pub, located on Tottenham High St. and during the break wandered down to the Bill Nicholson pub (the Bill Nick – said the cabbie) on Northumberland to watch the second half. Not the same as being there but still a great experience. One minute there was space to move around and the next they were 10 deep at the bar…I’ll let someone else explain why there is a pole on the bar.

But what about those photos? Take a look …

At the pub - doesn't look too busy yet
