Matt Coley

Matt Coley is an avid, life-long Spurs supporter.  Being born and raised in the UK, Matt has grown up playing and loving the game and has been dedicated to following Spurs since the age of 3. Early memories are of his dad taking him to home and away games along with a trusty ammunition box to stand on to see through the crowds. (why an ammunition box? you’ll have to ask in the pub!)

Just over a year ago, Matt relocated to Canada and quickly found refuge among fellow Spurs fans each Saturday morning at Scallywags.

Having now lived and worked in Toronto, Matt is looking forward to taking on a more active role in the organization and is very excited about his new role as Secretary.

1. Why do you support Spurs?
Passed down through my dad. Being from Chelmsford, Essex, West Ham was just not an option!

2. What was your first Spurs game?
Ipswich away, season of ’81. I am told decked out in full replica kit.

3. Who was your first favourite player?
Glen Hoddle, visionary passer, should have got more England caps.

4. Who is your current favourite player?
Bale. Sight of him dancing down the wing, amazing.

5. Where are you from?
Born in Essex, raised in Bournemouth, UK.

6. Prediction for the 2011/12 season?
My heart tells me 4th after being top til Xmas, my head tells me 5\6. Europa runner up\ FA cup winners\ CC 3rd round.
